carpets...
Re: carpets...
DH's family just had the carpets done by a pro- a friend of FIL does it. It came out really great. I'm not sure how much it cost. I've also never seen a DIY job either so I can't be of too much help. Is a pro job usually really expensive?
Re: carpets...
ive had it done both ways. When I lived in Astoria, my mom had pro's come and do it a few times. Then she bought the professional carpet cleaner, not the ones where they are vacuum's and you can also use it to clean the carpets, but she bought the same one that the pro's use and used just for that. Worked great with that one
Re: carpets...
I would go with the pro. I have a Bissell home cleaner and it def. does not get rid of though deep in stains. I would recommend a home DIY cleaner for fresh set in stains...for something worse then that...go professional
Re: carpets...
I think I would go professional because you are moving into a new apartment.. this isn't your grime that you are cleaning up and it will probably get done more thoroughly if it is done by a service with the most advanced equipment IMO. If you just wanted to clean your carpets that were in your own home then I would DIY.
