Any ideas for a Catholic Confirmation gift for my husband`s 15 yr old cousin???
I am honored to be asked to be her confirmation sponsorer in April. I would love to give her a hope chest, but I think it`s too much money to spend on a gift since they run at least $600 for a decent one. I was thinking like a $100 gift.
I would still like to get her something really nice/memorable...but not jewelry because I already know her grandmother is giving that.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Catholic Confirmation - gift ideas???
This is a hard question b/c jewelry is so typical. I don't know if you have to stay away from a jewelry gift just b/c the grandmother is giving that.
For my confirmation, I got a necklace, ring, bracelet and earrings all from different family members. Women can never have enough jewelry (that's just my opinion) and it tends to be the most common keepsake.
What about a really nice, fine wood jewelry box? You could have her initials engraved on it.
Just an idea...good luck!

Tickets to Late Night Catechism
It's different and it might be fun and special. If you go to www.NYCDISCOUNTS.com you can get tickets for $34. It's an interactive play-kind of like Tina and Tony's wedding I guess. I haven't actually gone myself but I was thinking about it. My fiance converted and is making his confirmation through RCIA. Telecharge sells the tickets 212 239-6200. The play is at St. Luke's Church on 46th St. I think you can also call 212 947 9300 for tix.

Late Night Catechism
This is very funny, as an adult, you will appreciate it if you have had a Catholic upbringing. However it seems like a highly inappropriate gift for a 15 yr old's confirmation. The jewelry box sounds like a really nice idea.
