Changing Antifreeze?

Changing Antifreeze?

Has anyone done this before? I am a girl and no nothing about cars!!..lol

I think that is what the problem is with the car. When I filled my window washing fluid I noticed that the Coolant doesn't look like it has anything! You would think when they fixed my belts they would of noticed that!!!

Any Suggestions?

My car has a BIG plastic globe with the antifreeze logo on it. All you do is open the plastic top of the globe and use a funnel to pour the antifreeze in. Make sure your car is off and that the hood is secured up before you start.

Thanks! I think I did the right thing by taking DH's car today! If I can hold off on any payments on a car I want to! All the $$ is going into the house!!! Trying to run that car into the ground!

Could it be that the Anti-freeze is so low that my heat is going on and off during driving? Someone told me yes at the office! I don't know if that is true or not!

hmm not sure. Antifreeze keeps the heater from overheating in the summer, and keeps the coolant from freezing in the winter. I think the best way to keep your heat going well is to make SURE you heat up your car for 15 full minutes before driving it if the temps are in the low 30 or below freezing for sure. Good luck!
