Marcella give it another week, it comes in the mail, its the original 'pretty' certificate from the town you went to

I went to the one in Garden City, and the wait wasn't long at all. You just need to bring your old SS card and your marriage license with you.

No, you don't need an appointment but bring a book.
I was there from 11am-5pm.
If possible, I'd suggest you mail it in.
