charging for touch ups

Did your photographer charge you for this??? I know a lot of girls on here say they don't know if they are charged for it or not. I am finally sitting down looking through my proofs ,and I see a little bold print sentence that says 'all special instructions for digital work is an extra charge'.

I just wanted to know if anyone has done a digital album and if any touch ups is included???

Edit: Thanks MnM, I couldn't think of the word for fixing a photo lol

Our photographer charged I think 8 dollars per pictures to touch up.

what kind of touchups do you need?

I got my pics on a disk (b/c I knew the photog) so I photoshopped my own and burned them to disk for him to use.

I do remember him saying it was expensive to have this done so I guess he would charge extra for it.

all i did was remove the gigantic freckle under my eyy and smooth out my neck rolls lol

Once he puts the pictures up on the website I am going to try to save some and fix them myself.
But, there are things like, at the Vanderbuilt there was this one area of a hallway that is outside kind of, and we are right in the middle of it, it's a beautiful picture but on the outside of the door way you see a sign that says 'no smoking' and another sign for something else. I really hope he can either crop it closer, or find a way to get rid of them b/c I don't know why he would've taken that picture with that crap in the way.

I was just wondering if this was the norm with the photographers. :) That's fine, there really isn't much I want to touch up other than cropping some things and fixing a 'tilted' picture.

Re: charging for touch ups

I'm really annoyed at our photog. We didn't do digital, we picked the traditional library album. I sent my #'s back to them with a letter saying that I'd need to write a paragraph for each photo to describe how it should be cropped and fixed. I told them that i trusted their artistic eye to make each picture perfect. They assured me that they would be done well. When I went to approve the lay out, not one picture was fixed the way I would have done it! but since they were already printed, I would've had to pay $50 a pic to have it fixed and reprinted!! What the hell was the point of me approving anything? I just approved the order that they were in. There was no way i was paying a penny more for our crappy pics. I'm still waiting on the album so i can pick it up and shove it in a closet! OK vent over! I just don't know how some photogs wouldn't want to give their customers total satisfaction, especially with the prices that they have the nerve to charge!

ours offered to do them free of charge, but I didn't want them. There wasn't anything needing them as far as I could see.
