My friend just emailed me that he has set a date for his wedding and picked the location. I checked to see if they had a webpage and it is GORGEOUS!!! I want to get divorced just so I can go get married again at this place

Wowsers!!! gorgeous!!!! are you going to go? I went to a wedding in county Cavan last summer, it was amazing!! I love Irish weddings!! 12 hour parties!!! wooooohoooooo!!!! they seriously have the right idea, drink for 3 hours, then eat for 3 hours, then dance for 6, with more food to soak up the alcohol at midnight......my kind of party!

I'm not sure if we are going. I really want to and we have plenty of notice the wedding is not until July 2009. The problem is between Novemeber of this year and August of next year we have been invited to 5 weddings in Ireland so far. Everyone and their mother is engaged.

We are going over in November over Thanksgiving weekend for a wedding and we have already said that we would go to a wedding in June of 2009 (DH is in it.) We still have plenty of time so either we will save or just hold out for a lottery win, the euro and the pound are killing us right now. If we are really lucky Ryan Air will start flying out of Islip and we can get some cheap flights.

You are right they definitely know how to do weddings you need about a week to recover they are complete madness. You should come no one would even notice a random stranger.

I went to Ireland this past November.

It was beautiful & I stayed at a castle for a few nights that didn't cost a fortune near Dublin.

It was a GREAT trip & inexpensive.

So...all you girls who want to go ....GO. When I calculated it...it cost less than a trip to the Bahamas.
