I have been having pains in my chest all day. They are mostly on the left side and kind of stabbing.
I took two BC pills last night ( I had missed one) and was really sick in the middle of the night--threw up a lot...
Could the pains be from that?
I took a zantac, and they subsided a bit, but I still feel them.
I am going to go to the DR. tomorrow or Tuesday, but I am so worried.
I used to smoke and so any chest pains scare the shiit out of me...

i think u're doing the right thing by going to the Dr. tomorrow. It could be absolutely nothing or maybe just stress related(or like u said from the double up on the BC)....but it's always wise to check. just relax the rest of the day & try not to worry....i'll keep ya in my prayers for a great report

I think you should definitely go to the Dr!!! I don't know if the hormones in the BC pills would be strong enough to have that kind of a reaction on you, but you definitely did everything I would have done if I was in your situation! Hopefully Dr. Ev will be on soon and she can give you some advice.
I hope you feel better!!! Keep us posted since the pains are on your left side!!!!!!!

Chest pain and shortness of breath can be a serious sign of BC pills but keep in mind that this could also be nothing. Don't worry too much. If you start feeling really sick again - consider going to the ER. I'm sorry I wish I could tell you that it's nothing, but I can't. BC pills have serious risks....but it could also be indigestion, food poisoning, ulcer, a bunch of other things. Monitor your symptoms and get to the ER if they get very serious. I'm here all day so feel free to FM me if you want. I'm praying it's nothing

I didn't even think about the BC pills causing the pains because I have been on them so long. I am going to try and get an appointment with my DR. tomorrow afternoon. I have had digestive issues in the past (ulcers, lactose intolerant etc.) so it could be that, but I want to make sure it isn't something serious...

BC pills side effects like nausea and spotting are things that only occur in the beginning of taking them b/c your body is getting used to them.
These side effects are what can occur overtime due to the effects BC pills have on the body: Abdominal pains (severe) Chest pain or shortness of breath Headaches (severe) Eye problems, such as blurred vision Severe leg or arm pain or numbness
Like I said - it could be nothing so please don't get too worked up over it..anxiety can actually make your chest pains worse. try to take it easy and be aware of your symptoms. The ER is always an option but I sincerely hope you get an app with your doctor tomo. make sure to stress the imp of the situation with your doc tomowhen making the app so that you get it.

it was definitely a good idea to go to the ER. Fine it's , but it's much better to err on the side of caution... hopefully you're feeling much better!!!!!
