Chicken thighs?

Chicken thighs?

My mother used to put them on a rack in a dish in the oven and just bake them with a bit of Adobo on the tops of the skin. They would come out so good, but I wanted to know if anyoen else had any good recipes for chicken thighs.

I don't have alot of spices at home yet, and I don't feel like going to the store, so if it's something that can be made fairly easy with most common things in the house I would appreciate it. :)

i have no idea about thighs b/c i don't really make them - but sometimes i make chicken wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a little onion powder and papirika and then i drizzle with oil - i bake em till they get crunchy and its delicious and so quick to prepare....

sometimes i make chicken with duck sauce - my mom calls it sticky chicken when she makes it i think she uses russian dressing as well - with the duck sauce....i think i'm not sure but its good....

i've made chicken breast on the bone with ducksauce and pineapple so im sure you can try that too....

I sprinkle mine with whatever I have in the house, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder. Massage everything into the chicken and then sprinkle some dried parsley on top

I got this out of my Cooking Light cookbook

take the chicken thighs wash salt pepper

then in a bowl mix honey, apple cider vingar, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes, and then just brushed the thighs with those and bake, or if you want to you can put them under the broiler, DH loves these

I doubt you have Bisquick in the house, but if you do, you can bread them in Bisquick and some paprika and then bake them. They get crispy and so yummy!

Re: Chicken thighs?

thats something similar to what i do with cornish hens. I rub a little bit of butter(or olive oil if you prefer) all over the chicken, lately i use this montreal chicken rub that has salt, pepper and tons of other stuff so i just need to put that on. Stuff it with some garlic. NOW if you are using the roasting pan with the rack which i do too, dont just put it in the oven like that. You have to put water on the bottom of the pan and check it throughout bc the water will go down a bit, so you will probably have to add more. Then dh likes it with gravy so put gravy on top when it's done.

Theres also a chicken recipe that you cook with a beer bottle for juiciness, its great but wont work with thighs.

That sounds really yummy too, and you just reminded me that I picked up a McCormick montreal chicken seasoning thing the other day!!! I think I will try it.

I also never purchased a rack for the pans that I have. I am thinking I can just butter or spray the pan and then put the chicken in? I don't know any other way to do it w/out the rack.
