soo as i finally put all my fine china away today, i was wondering when the first time i was gonna use them...
then i thought? hmmm i wonder if any of the NW have used there china yet?
soooo the question is have any of you lovely ladies used your fine china yet? and if so what for?
and if you haven't, when do you think you will use it first???

Well my china is my mothers that she gave me So it has been used,lol but, for me I was waiting for a holiday or a nice night for DH and I.

I haven't used mine. It is all still in the boxes in my mom's basement.
You should have a dinner party/Housewarming party and use your new china for the first time!

I didn't register for any china because I took my mothers that she received from her shower a zillion years ago.
But I did have the IL over for DH'd birthday dinner and I used the china for it!!!
Honestly I'm more of a everyday dish or paper plate kinda chick!!

I've used mine. About half of the place settings are still at my mom's house from the shower, but I have some at home . We used them after we got back from our HM for the first time I cooked in our new house with our new oven!

I got ours handed down to me from my grandmother who passed away a few months before our wedding. We used them for Thanksgiving dinner this year! I was so proud.

mine are sitting in their boxes neatly under my stairs... we havent used them at all..and unfortunately, i dont see us using them in the near future. I'd rather wait until we have a house & i can display them..im happy with them staying safe in their boxes

I had gotten most of my place settings at our engagement party last fall and then the rest at the shower. I got to use it the first time last Christmas Eve when we had my parents and my IL's for dinner. Then we used it again this Christmas Eve. I also used it when I made my sister a mini Thanksgiving dinner bc she moved to CO a few weeks before thanksgiving and she hadn't gotten to come to our christmas eve dinners either. It's fun and a hassle, to get it all out and see how pretty it is! But it's also funny bc we have such a tiny dining room so we really have to squeeze in.

Yes, we have used our china. First time was for Palm Sunday (last year) & it happened to also be my mother's birthday. So we had 14 people for dinner. We made Stuffed flank steak with Green Bean Almodine, mashed potatoes with a greek salad. It was fabulous & the table looked beautiful with our new China & crystal.

I have used either of my sets yet, my semi-fine or fine. The semi-fine I'll use when we have our families over the first time, and I don't have a choice but to because we only have 4 settings of everyday dishes, but I don't know if I'll ever use the fine. We got a box set service for 8 as a wedding gift, and DH wanted me to return it, but there was nothing else we needed from BBB to do an exchange for and I didn't know if I'd get cash back for that high an amount of not so I'm just holding on to it for now. Maybe when we finally get a house.

I didn't register for china. We are getting DH's gradmother's china when we move into a house. Will prob use it for our first holiday after we move in.

OMG MY DH WOULD HAVE KILLED ME! ....that looked like my dining room for about a week, and last night was the last straw, hence why they all went way today!

ours is still in the original boxes at my parents house!! umm i think the first time we will use them is whenever we may have our first holiday! but that is prob not going to be for a while! cuz once we get the house we wont have enought money to feed ourselves let alone feed other people! LOL
