FH & I are have a jewish ceremony. I'd like to incorporate a Chinese Tea ceremony (i'm chinese) into our wedding - but WHEN? 1-concurrent with the Ketubah signing OR 2-immediately following the Challah blessing OR 3-before the cake cutting ceremony
Did any of you newlyweds have or have seen the tea ceremony at a wedding? If so, when was it held and how? I don't want to exclude too much of the guests since it's really FH & I serving our parents and close elderly relatives.
Your suggestions are VERY MUCH appreciated!

Re: Chinese Tea Ceremony - WHEN???
I would speak to the ribbi who will perform the ceremony about it!
But can i ask: Does that ceremony have a significant meaning to you?Why do you want to incorporate it?

Re: Chinese Tea Ceremony - WHEN???
I'm Chinese as well, but sorry don't know anything about the timeline or scheduling of the tea ceremony. DH is half Lithuanian (mother) and half Japanese (father) but we're both Americans and we also incorporated our cultural backgrounds on our wedding day. I wore some Chinese bridal jewelry. We had the elements of life with bread, salt and red wine for Lithuanian and a Lithuanian wedding cake. One of DH's aunt was very generous to share this Lithuanian cake with our 150 guests as well as it serve as a decoration next to our reception cake! Sorry, Japanee was lost because it was too expensive to order the cakes for 150 guests.
