Chris Brown is being investigated for allegedly assaulting Rihanna after the Clive Davis pre-Grammys tribute event on Saturday night.

According to an LAPD report, cops arrived at the scene early Sunday morning - around 12:30 A.M. - after receiving a 911 call reporting a disturbance.

A woman, who insiders name as Rihanna, was found with visible injuries and identified Chris Brown as her attacker.

The 'victim' revealed they were arguing in the car, which escalated when they stopped.

Chris had reportedly already peaced out when authorities arrived.

Brown turned himself in to police around 6:30 P.M. on Sunday. He was officially booked at 7:41 p.m. for making criminal threats.

Brown posted $50,000 bail and was released.

We were just talking about this on the Grammy thread. Pretty sad. I wish it weren't true.

yeah they were just saying that she kept trying to leave and whenever she tried he kept hitting her

that is so weird - he doesn't seem like that type at all.....he seems like little boyish - not like a woman beater

that is terrible if its true - but who knows with these wacky celebrities

I think this is horrible. If he really did do this, I think his career is definitely going to suffer. I hope he is punished accordingly.

Makes you wonder if its the firs time. Men who are violent like this usually show so many signs before they actually get violent. My aunt is married to a man who is very violent, and its horrific. Someone who acts like this definitely shouldn't be looked up to as a role model, they are animals.
