Cirque du soleil ...

Just wanted to let you know that they are coming back to NY with their new show Vareka on April 24 -June 15!!!

I know that a lot of you ladies recommended O in Las Vegas ... just thought there may be an interest.

I love the Cirque du Soleil - this will be my 4th show of theirs!!!

I saw Verakai and it was great. If you sign up for the cirque fan club you get first pick for tickets. There's no fee to join.

We had first row seats to see Verakai when it was in SF, and we got our parents tickets to see in in NY on our 1st anniversary (I think they're third row).

edited to say, they just added the new shows (I got an email on it the other day). The dates in April went on pre-sale back in Dec, so you're better off going later for better seats.

Lisa ... I'm so glad that you liked the show!!! I can't wait to see it!

I've seen Quidam, Allegeria, and got engaged at Drailion. So this will be my 4th show and now Cirque du Soleil is very personal to me.

I'm planning a trip to Las Vegas soon, and I'll be sure to buy my O tickets before!!!

Thanks! I love cirque du soleil!! I've seen the 2 that were in Las Vegas - Mystere and O - breath taking! I'm gonna see if we can get tickets :)

I saw the Beijing and Shanghai acrobats in China...and I have to say it was quite disturbing how they contort their bodies...is cirque du soleil similar?

Erica - some of the shows do have contortionists, but its just one of the many acts of the show and only lasts a few minutes - I find them disturbing as well.

I don't remember any in Verakai, but I believe there were some in Dralion.

since we're listing shows, I've seen the two above and 'O' (we're going again next month!), Mystere and La Nouba.

Al's seen all of those except 'O', but he's seen Allegria.
