Classic flowergirl/ringbearer wedding day stories.......

Everyone has to have good ones!!!!

My little cousin, the ringbearer is just the cutest thing in the whole world and the things that come out of his mouth are priceless....Well everyone was in the limo on the way to the reception (we were in a seperate car) and so my cousin took a liking to our best man, so the poor little guys shirt kept getting untucked all night, so Brian (BM) went to go tuck him in on the way out and he says to him ' HEY, you can't tuck my shirt in...you'll see my peter' LOL.......We told my aunt this later on and she was like I have NO IDEA where he got that name from!!!

this is the little guy...can you hear this coming out of his mouth??

He also followed directions so well ALL day and whatever the photographer told the big guys to do, he followed...so at one point our photographer said to the guys to put there hands in there pocket...so I'm watching Brennan (RB) follow directions but he's struggling a little...so Jay from DUET kepts saying 'brennan, over here, over here' and he must of gotten frustrated and he looks up and yells 'I'm TRYING to find my pocket' it was priceless!!!! (like geez man, you told me to put my hand in my pocket, can you give me a few to find it lol)

thats sooo cute.

Our ring bearer was a bit older -- he's 8 or 9, but very small for his age. At one point int he night we're all ina circle and the guys were break dancing to the rap part of Tonto. So, our RB gets in the middle of the circle and starts doing it too! It was tooooo cute. Our photographer got an adorable pic of him dancing

during out first dance as husband and wife, our FG (she is 3) decided to join us and grab onto the back of my dress. She was hanging on for a while....it was so cute. I have a great picture of it...but unfortunately my photographer doesn't give digital access.

My 3yo FG decided SHE wanted to sit next to me at the sweetheart table..so she did for awhile while DH was making his 'rounds' it was so sweet how she didn't want to leave

I heard during ceremony she stopped mid-aisle threw the basket and walked backwards and when she saw her mom picked up the basket and kept going I must see the video!!

My neice was our FG, she was 3 then and working on potty training but still in diapers just in case. So all the BM and GM went down to line up for the processional. It was just me, my mom, my dad, and my FG left in the bridal suite. So here I am thinking 'This is it, you're about to get married' when all of a sudden my neice jumps up and says 'I have to go to the bathroom!!!'. So my mom rushes her in to the potty (there was one right in the suite) and everything is fine. Then when she was done she came running back out and threw herself on the couch, laid back and up went her legs (so my mom could put a new diaper on her) and I got a nice view of her crack!!!!! It just made me laugh tho and erased any nerves I had building up!!!!

Then, during the cake cutting, DH and I fed each other of course as tradition. So my nephew walks over, he was only 2 and didn't have any idea what was going on. But the kid loves chocolate cake, I think he was lining up for a piece!!! DH was so sweet, after feeding me he knelt down and gave my nephew some too!!

my FG was my niece--she's freaking adorable. and i KNEW that she was going to do this on the wedding day---she came out and saw all the people for the ceremony....and burst into tears!

my other niece had to get her to come down the aisle:

after the ceremony--she wouldn't leave my or DH's side..she wanted to be with us the entire time cause she said i was 'the Queen' and she was a 'princess'. lol

this was towards the end of the reception--aside from pics with my DH, its my favorite pic of the entire wedding:

Great stories!!! We didn't have either so I have none to add but I was a flower girl 4 times so I became kind of obsessed with weddings early---usually I my cousin was the RB well --one time he gave me a fake engagement ring and I was just thrilled

Devon- great thread!!! BTW your RB is the CUTEST THING!!!!!!
My RB was 3 years old and he had been practicing walking down the isle with his mom for months every sunday after church. His mother would stand at the alter and wait for him to walk down.
At the rehearsal we were so pleased at how wonderful he was at walking down. He didn't cry, and just walked down with the pillow. The only thing was that he was so used to walking to his mom, that he walked 3/4 the way down the isle and then stopped when he was at the pew that his mother was standing at.
We finally told him that he was going to go to continue walking until he could give cousin Paul (DH) a high five. Then he would walk down to his seat.
The day of the wedding he was so cute. He walked down the isle slowely and then once he passed his mom who was only in the 2nd or 3rd row he ran upto DH and gave him a high five and then walked back to his seat. Everyone laughed.
FG was 6 and she was adorable too but no real funny stories

My 2 year old nephew (he'll be 3 in september) was so cute the morning of my wedding!! i really wanted to get him excited about it so he wouldn't be scared to walk down the aisle. Well in the morning i kept asking him 'do you know what today is, are you so excited?' and i guess i asked him too many times because at one point he screamed ' i know, i know it's your WEDDING' it was too cute!!! Then when we got to the church he cried the whole way down the aisle, but still managed to say hi to everyone. My photographer got a great picture of him in tears waving to one of my friends!!
Here's my little monster

My 6 year old nephew was so funny at the wedding.. I was afraid he would freak out seeing all the people in the church and so we made him practice with a little pillow everyday as to how he was going to walk down the aisle.. not only did he strut down the aisle.. he made the funniest face, like he was stuck saying 'ohhhhhhhhhhhhh'

Re: Classic flowergirl/ringbearer wedding day stories.......

I think the wedding is the only time I've ever seen my nephew Jack, my ringbearer, be serious. He's always laughing and kidding around. Apparently he thought those were the real rings on the pillow (they were plastic, I've heard horror stories about lost rings!) and he wanted to make sure they made it safely to the chuppah. I kinda wish I had put the real rings on there, since he took such good care of them! And Lizzie, my flowergirl--she's my husband's niece, but mine now too!--did what so many little flowergirls do: she didn't really throw any petals. Oh well. I think she was so nervous about walking down the aisle she forgot about throwing the petals. She went down the aisle with that same handful of petals, dropping one or two here and there. Who cares, she was the cutest flowergirl. Look at that hair! Her mom asked if I wanted it up, and I said, 'Absolutely not! She has the most gorgeous hair.' (Except for my youngest bridesmaid, with her bright red curls--she's my niece, my sister's daughter.)
