Anyone know of any Co-ops/Garden Apts in Nassau? DH are looking in Bayside, but want to check out Nassau too. I will be quitting my job once the baby arrives in June, so we can't afford a house right now.

One of my best friends lived for years in a co-op on Fifteenth Street in Garden City. They have one and 2-bedrooms and have first and second floors. I think it's called Cherry Valley Co-ops. It was great for them until they had too many children. The location is ideal as it's a quick walk to the Mineola LIRR and shopping.

I lived in a co op in bayside...My advice to you is go during the week during the day and ask the Mailman. Also go to Newsday.com The apts will be more resonable in Bayside...My BIL found an apartment in great neck and he bought it and is paying less than what the rent would cost.. So i would look for that because if you are going to spend $1500 / a month or less..Morgage payment might be less.and it is an investement...and then you are not wasting money renting!!!

I'm sorry for posting on this board since i'm not a newlywed but - I live in the Cherry Valley Apts in Garden City for 5 years now and LOVE it. If you have any questions let me know - It is convienent to everything! - train to NYC, shopping, etc. I will be happy to tell you anything about it! Again sorry to post here etd to say - it is the Cherry Valley Co-ops mentioned above - 1 and 2 bedrooms apts - garden apts -

My brother has his coop for sale in Long Beach. It is a studio though, but a big one.
