Cocktail Hour Time on Invitations put the real time on or fudge one half hour??
My reception hall will open the doors at 3:30pm everything will be out and ready to go for the CTH. The real CTH time is 4pm but I want to put 3:30pm reception will be at 5pm. My church will be at 2pm. Its a 20min ride from my church to the reception hall. What would you do. I have an appointment with the reception hall and Invitation place on Monday. Thanks for your advice? I saw a recent post about this before but I can't find it with the search so sorry if you hear the same thing over and over again :o)

If you hall will accept guests early I would put the earlier time on the invite. I know I get frustrated when there is a long time between church and CTH. Most people end up getting the the hall early anyway since many people don't have anywhere else to go.

Definitely check to see if your hall will accept them early. I put the right time and my guests started coming 15-30 earlier and they actually were interrupting to my photographs!!!

As someone who is ALWAYS on time or early, I would be a bit annoyed that I was told to come 30 minutes early.

I would definitely double check and get in writing that your guests can enter the CTH at 3.30. Otherwise I would put the real time. I am sure most of your guests will be early or on time and will probably get a bit frustrated waiting for things to happen.

I put 1/2 early, but I got married at eh teception hall and wanted everyone to be on time for the ceremony. My hall advised me to do this and provided a hospitality hour for early guests.
