communion gift

Okay so my cousin sends me an email saying that May 2 is her daughters communion and they are having it a Chateau La Mer......
What the heck do you give as a gift? I was going to get a $100.00 savings bond which is only $50.00 is that okay do you think?
keep in mind I only really see this cousin on major holidays. Last time I saw them was at Christmas time.

I think the bond is a perfect gift.

yes. I think a 100.00 savings bond is plenty.

My son is receiving communion on May 4th. I don't expect anyone to bring gifts but I know it's normal to give savings bonds

I think that's a great gift! the only other suggestion i would have is perhaps a children's missal. but the savings bond is probably a better idea in the long run.

I'd just give him a $50 check.

I am very anti-savings bond. It would be better for him in the long run if his parents put his $$ into a college fund or something with a better return. It sounds nice to think 'oh this will double in XX years' but the $50 could triple

I think either a 50$ check or 100$ bond is plenty. The choice is yours, so do waht you are most comfortable with
