Re: condos
Queens is mostly Coops not condo's (similar but specfics on share ownership and maintance fees are different)
I own a garden coop in Whitestone. (Clearview Gardens) the pro's of my coop:
--large 2 bedroom 900 sq feet --2nd floor includes full attic (full 900 sqft of apt many finished-ours is full finsihed with pergo flooring, we have a home gym up there and A LOT storage) --easy to park, parking spots availble
Drawbacks
-maintance is high (although it includes gas, heat, electric, taxes. water)

Re: condos
oo ok.. i always thought i'd rent till we have kids.. but then there are condos coming up in queens and also in jersey city that got me thinking.. a one bedroom instead of renting and then selling it in time to buy a house and selling it time for babies or renting it.. i'm thinking out loud..

Re: condos
it's so hard to find a condo in queens because it's mostly co-ops. Condos are a lot more expensive, we couldn't swing one and ended up in a co-op.
