Consigment Shops

Have any of you had luck selling clothes to consignment shops?

I have about 6 pairs of jeans that I refuse to give to give away (sorry if that's mean) but they were all pricey and in very good condition and I am considering trying to sell them via consignment or ebay. I actually really dont want to part with these jeans but I have not worn them in 1-2 year so I figured its time to say bye bye.

I know I wont get much but even $20/pair will help to put towards my fund for a new pair of jeans I have my eye on! LOL!

I would try e-bay then, you might be able to get more. Not sure about consignment shops

actually i have a few jackets that are just not thrift store worthy - a nice leather one that is in perfect condition. I am also looking for a gown to wear in Jan for a social event so I would love to see suggestions too.

try ebay. DH has sold quite a few things on ebay (lucky jeans, sport jerseys, old jackets/coats) that were still in really great/barely used condition got a few dollars back for them.

I've used ebay to sell clothes in the past but didnt get much $$. However they werent any great brands either. Express, Limited, no names and I sold them in lots. Maybe I will look into.

I know there is a big consignment shop in NYC - Michaels - and they said they buy Citizen jeans but not diesel. Hmmm I may go to check it out!

Sell them on ebay. I decided to sell a few old bags and clothes on ebay over the summer and made like 1000 dollars!!! It is fun and worth it:)

I also give tons of cloths to goodwill a few times a year. But sometimes it is worth it to get you money worth on ebay!

Also, ebayers love brand/designer names. Like you, I did not have as much luck to no name/smaller name items!
