Cookbook Help

So, I have a gift card from my shower last year for $20 to William Somona. I figure I can either buy like 1 dishtowel there, or a cookbook.

Any recommendations? Ones you use and like?

They also have some cool dipping saucses, BBQ sauces, etc there. I think a lit of the cookbooks are more than $20!

Ooo that one does look good. I figure I'll have to pay like $10 towards it, but there's nothing else relatively cheap in that store.

Although their dish towels ARE great.

Yes! I have that one. I got it at Kohls.

I have about 8098098 cookbooks, that I buy and just look at the pictures.

they are reasonably priced too, I don't think either of these are more than $20-$25.

I just got Barefoot Contessa's new one: Back to Basics-haven't gotten to make any recipes out of it but she always has great simple recipes.

I also have Giada DeLaurentiis' Everyday Italian and Everyday Pasta-both really good books-easy recipes.

For under $20 there is the Food Made Fast series of WS cookbooks. I've actually done a few cooking classes out of the series and they are good recipes. Basically they take the recipes from the classic cookbooks (that are so good) and then make them with like 4 ingredients and 5 or less steps and still really good.

Happy shopping!

There's also a good slow cooker book too:

Essentials of Slow cooking

(Squeekietoy-that's the book I was talking about a few weeks ago that I got. Still haven't made any recipes because my mom still has it. )

I have both of those Giada ones as well. Do you happen to know the book that the recipes you demonstrated were in? I use those all the time, and sure I'd use comparable ones as well.

Sure-I've done a few:
Food Made Fast: Asian-really nice because you don't need to buy a bazillion Asian ingredients that you'll use once.
Food Made Fast: Small Plates-for appetizers
Food Made Fast: Grill-did everything in grill pans but you can also do on outdoor grill.
Food Made Fast: Simple Suppers-my favorite one of the series. One of my favorite recipes ever is in there: Grilled flank steak with herbs de Provence and goat cheese with stuffed tomatoes. Such a great meal!

I think that's the one I have at home. I haven't made anything out of it yet though.
