Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

and used our new dishes, silverware, and crystal wine glasses! I was so excited! I felt like we were playing house with all our new goodies! Did anyone feel this way when you used your new stuff after you got married? Just a bit giddy now!

Re: Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

This is such a cute post! Good for you! Use your 'good' china and crystal as often as you like...don't let it sit in a box! (look at me, giving advice that I should take myself!)

Re: Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

I've been married for 1.5 years and our new stuff is still in my MIL's garage in boxes! We are waiting to move out of our NYC apt to unpack the goods...

I can't wait though! I guess it will be like opening things all over again

Sara, I know how you feel! My new stuff sat in my parents basement for almost 2 years! But, it is fun to open everything again...I said it's like having a second bridal shower! I even forgot some of the things i have!

Re: Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

Wow - you're good - my stuff is still in my mom's attic

Like Claud, I recently went back home and went through some things- it was like my own little shower all over again

Re: Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

I never even thought of putting my new stuff in storage. I spent the last three days cleaning out the kitchen and boxing the old stuff and finding room for the new stuff in our apartment. I just love using the new stuff!

Re: Cooked my first dinner as a newlywed...

how fun!

most of our stuff is in NY at my mom's (like Claud). It will be awhile before we move east and unpack, but I look forward to the day!

we do have some stuff here that we got as gifts that we use all the time (everyday dishes, knives, pots, kitchenaid stand mixer, luggage, espresso maker, pasta maker) - but the rest is in NY
