I got back my proofs and they have the photographer's name, # and the copyright symbol on the bottom of every proof. Does this mean i can't scan them and post them online? I can't get copies from another source? When I initially met with him I asked him if he 'stamped' his proofs, because I didn't really want that and he said no. Is what he did the same as a 'stamp?'

Hmmm, my guess is that this is the same as a stamp. Have you tried scanning them to see if they're watermarked or anything? My photographer had the same thing but we bought the copyright of the proofs and got them all on DVD - now we can re-print as we like. Good luck!

YOu can post them you just have to give them credit-technically you cant cover up the studio name. As far as them telling you no and it being there anyway that I dont understand-they shouldnt be stamped. Call and ask, maybe they give you the unstamped on a disc later
