Coworkers...

Just out of curiousity, how many people hang out with their coworkers outside of work??

I work in a very small office..I'm 25 and the women i work with range from 10 years older than me to 25+ years older than me...I mean 3 of them could be my mother! One ex-coworker (who was laid off) always insists that we all go out or invites me to tupperware like parties...and i always feel awkward and never really want to go.

I only hang out with 1 of my co-workers outside of work. She's about 10 years older than me, but she doesn't look or act it. lol! Other than that, not really. They don't really invite me and I don't really invite them, even though we're friendly.

i've never hung out with my coworkes at this job .... but i did with coworkers from previous jobs.

it all depends on the dynamic of the company.

Our company has 2 offices. I used to work in 1 and was then transferred when the new department opened. I hang out with the women in the 1st office and most of them are older than me but great fun. I don't really hang out the the girls in this office though.

I've been working in the same field for over 20 years. I absolutely hang out with some of my co-workers and some of my colleagues from other firms that I used to work with.

Others, not so much.
