CRAZY STORY

I had a crazy afternoon yesterday. I go to the dr on E 57th and Lex. I had some cash in the front pocket of my bag so I took a cab and paid him and get upstairs to the dr office. They ask for my insurance card. I go in my bag and my wallets gone! I start freaking out. Then I remember that at work right before I left I took out my wallet for something. I call and have them looking everywhere. Nothing. Now Im like half crying. I have no money, no cards, no ID .. nothing.

I call DH and tell him he has to come and get me. I call work back and tell them to cancel my corporate card. Im on the phone with my bank to cancel everything else and my voicemail goes off. I hang up on the bank and I call back my voicemail and its DH - someone called him with my wallet!! I must have dropped it when I got out of the cab somehow and a doorman found it and brought it to the lobby of the building right next door to where I was. They called everywhere looking for me - My dogs vet, my jeweler .. they finally got in touch with DH!!!!!!!!

SO SO SO lucky - I couldnt believe it!!!! I ran downstairs so fast and starting hugging them and gave them both money!

Meanwhile my DH was like you have the puppy to thank. I was literally walking out of the house and the puppy peed so I had to go back in and clean it. It was at that moment the guy called and told me he had your wallet!

Still cant believe it. Ive never felt so grateful before.

What a nice guy to go through all that trouble to find you!! I lost my wallet at a bar once and someone mailed it back to me with everything in it (cash included)- I wish I knew who it was..I would've just given them the cash for being so awesome.

you are sooo lucky!

i had a dream this morning that i was at my dance recital and someone stole my purse and wallet, and when i complained and said i didn't have money or a cell phone i was fired from teaching.
so i left to go home and i was in my old truck.

it was weird, but with that, i woke up in a panic. i can't imagine how you felt for real!

to the puppy!

Yay! I left my wallet on the LIRR, it was never found or returned to me.

Left my blackberry in a cab and same, never found.
