Crepes

Crepes

So, you ladies recommended crepes for my frenched themed girls night.

Anyone have a recipe they've tried? I make savory crepes (manicotti) at Christmas, but I'm not sure if it would be the same sort of thing for sweet crepes.

Also what can we fill them with in addition to nutella, bananas, and berries?

any flavor of mouse, homemade whip cream & berries, ice cream

I have a recipe at home that I've used, I'll post it tonight or tomorrow

I don't have a recipe but when we were in France the ones with lemon juice and sugar were really good. We also had savory crepes with grated gruyere cheese. So yummy!

I didn't get the book yet-do you think I could finish it in a week? I wanna be a part of the book club but I keep forgetting to get it.

You could do the traditional nutella, nuts, whipped cream and instead of banana's do strawberries. You can even add ice cream

Ive had peanut butter and jelly crepes, they were delicious

my grandmother and mom always made crepes with jam, and might sound weird but i eat it with sourcream.

Some make it with this peach type sauce over it and ice cream. Im sure on foodnetwork.com they have a recipe similar to this.

mmmmmmmm DH and I have been obsessed with crepes ever since we got back from Paris. I made them once, and the recipe was very simple and thy were okay. I just think it was my technique and lack of crepe making experience that caused them to not come out so well lol

I love them with nutella and banana and coconut. That is my favorite, but you can put jams in as well. yummmmm

I think you should just serve onion quiche.

My dad used to make crepes all the time (although he always told me they were palachincas lol I guess that's the Italian name) and we would just spread jam on them - marmalade, strawberry and raspberry.
