Okay -- I think now my husband and I have decided to go on a cruise for our re-honeymoon trip :-) Most likely the Caribbean (St. Thomas/St. John, Bahamas, etc.)
Those of you that have been on cruises which cruiseline do you remommend and why? Also which ships on those lines did you like? Thanks so much in advance for any comments. I've never been on a cruise before.

Hey Ya!!
I love Royal Caribbean...The food was magnificent and the people were very nice. It was a great crowd and the ship had a ton of things to do. I think it was the Majesty of the Seas, but don't quote me...
Good Luck,

On Princess cruise lines, the Grand Princess was awesome. We had a mini-suite with a butler and the ship is fairly new. The food was great and there was tons to do. The itinerary we went on was the Eastern Caribbean. It was a great trip..

I went on Royal Carribean, it was Grandeur of the Seas. It went to the Eastern Caribbean, same as where you are I going. I know this ship does not take this route anymore. But it was AWESOME. The food is great, and it was a mixed crowd. We went to St. Thomas, San Juan, Cocoa Cay(private island in Bahamas, Labadee(another private island in Haiti-It was beautiful.
If you go to St. Thomas, I HIGHLY recommend taking the boat ride to ST. John-it is the most beautiful Island, and try the snorkeling.
Good Luck!!!!

Thanks everyone. I've got some great ideas. I've looked at the Royal Carribean Enchantment of the Seas that looks really great. Definitely want to do the St. John excursion. That's originally where we planned to stay. I'll check out the princess cruise as well Lee. I really appreciate all the feedback.

Cruise......Stef - website for you..
I've been on Royal Caribean and Holland America. HA was a much older crowed, but I must say I liked it better. The service and food were outstanding. Royal Carribean we also had a great time. Nothing negative to say about it.
We were supposed to try Celebrity for our 1st anniv andhad to cancel, but our next tries are going to be Celebrity and Princess, have heard lots of good things about them. I've heard that Carnival is more the party-single atmosphere, just an FYI.
A great website you can surf on is cruisecritic.com, and go to the message boards, get tips on everything from A-Z, you can go on boards specific to a cruiseline, people post which cruise they are going to be on, what to know about it, etc...
Have fun !

We cruised on Royal Carribbean twice - Once for the Millennium & recently for our honeymoon in December. We were on Majesty of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas (i think). We had a wonderful time on both, however, my advice is to avoid going during Christmas week. We went that week both times and were less than impressed with the service and food. I'm not sure if we are just food/service snobs, or if perhaps their crew is half on vacation that week, which is entirely possible.
We plan to cruise again, but we will either go on RC again on 'Voyager of the Seas' - which I hear is amazing, or we'll try cruising with Celebrity Cruises.

Cruise--Celebrity Millenium
We went on Celebrity's Millenium for part of our honeymoon. Our trip was in Europe but the ship was magnificent. It is extremely large, the service was great, the spa even better, and the food was extremely good (compared to other cruises!). There was plenty to do and the cabin sizes are nice, especially the ones with balconies off the back of the ship. Our cabin was like a suite and the deck off the back was as large as the room--huge! Definitely a nice ship to be on!

Cruise--one more thing.Stef .. :)
I think I also posted this a while back, just wanted to say, one thing you MUST do if you go on a cruise, at about 1am, or anytime its the darkest possible out, go to the very top deck, where its usually empty and dark, where they keep the lounge chairs, (you may want to hold hubby's hand, if its windy at all, the top of the ship gets it the worse. you will feel like your being blown away!) anyway, you'll have the whole place to yourself :) just lay back on a lounge chair and stare into the sky, you have never seen a CLEARER night sky, lit up with so many beautiful stars ! Its absolutely breathtaking and peaceful !
Happy Cruising !

we are going on a cruise for our 1 year anniversary to St thomas/St john, st marteen, barbados, martinique and st lucia--
we booked back in sept and dont go until May so I have become addicted to a board for that on cruise critic--there is a wealth of info on there-
also once you decide on a cruise line and ship they can help getting great deals we are going on a 10 day carnival Paradise(non smokinhg) for $1029 a person (total) which is a phenomenal price for such a long cruise--
let me know if you need any other help
