Anyone been on one that they loved or didnt like for that matter? I really want to do one over the summer but have never been on one. DH thinks it might be boring to be on a boat for that long- im not sure. Anyone have any feedback? TIA

Re: Cruises...
I went on my first cruise 2 years ago. It was an eastern caribbean royal caribbean cruise and it was so much fun. I'd love to do another one but I'm trying to get a group together for that. IMO I think it'll be a lot more fun with a big group of people but we still had a blast by ourselves.

Re: Cruises...
I love love love....Celebrity cruises!! I have been on Carnival and Princess as well. But Celebrity really does have the best food. I actually went on a 21 and over cruise with Celebrity, so there were no kids. We had a blast. Princess cruises are also a great time!! Shop around sometimes you can get great deals on a cruise!!
Oh yeah The only thing that stinks with a Big group of people is that not everyone wants to do the same thing. Just be aware of who you invite. Our grandparents took 13 of us and it was just too many. Id say no more than 6 if you do a group. HTH!

Re: Cruises...
I went on Royal Carribbean to the Bahamas for 4 night and I wished it was longer.
I went on Carnival for 7 night to Mexico, Cayman Islands and Jamaica and wished it was shorter. Mostly because I hated the food and there was nothing to do on the ship. I'd never go Carnival again. I do have friends that only go on Carnival though, I just can't lay out all day and if you're at sea all day, thats all there is.

Re: Cruises...
I did a 7 night cruise out of Miami on Carnival and it was awesome!
We went to Puerto Rico (not there very long though which stunk), St. Thomas and St. Martin. It was so awesome! You really arent at sea that many days, it only felt like we were at sea 2 days and the rest of the time we were on the islands! I think it is a great way to see alot of islands and they are usually very reasonably priced!
We were with a big group but I would do one with just DH too.

Re: Cruises...
I've done Carnival 2x and Royal Caribbean once. The Royal Caribbean one that we just went on was AWESOME. I dont even think I could find something to complain about if I tried. Less kids, more adulty, awesome food.

I've only been on one and it was a Carnival Cruise. I loved it. I can't wait to go on another cruise on one of the 'better' cruiselines.
Book through www.bjsvacations.com. You don't have to be a member and the deals are insane!!!

Re: Cruises...
We have been a few cruises but our favorites were with Princess. I loved the service they provided, the ship was beautiful and the food was great. I liked the eastern Caribbean. For our one year anniversary we have booked a southern Caribbean trip on princess.
I know in the summer I know NCL does short cruises from Florida to the Bahamas.

Re: Cruises...
We've been on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises and LOVED both. We won't cruise with any other cruiseline simply because of our great experience with RC.
RC is the sister company to Celebrity Cruises, but is considered more high end.

Re: Cruises...
Now that I think of it, there were WAY too many kids on my cruise. We went during one the February breaks and everyone was off from school. So maybe dont do Carnival - I have heard great things about RC, Princess and Celebrity

I went on the crown princess and LOVED IT!!!! another great thing is that it leaves out of red hook brooklyn so you dont have to spend additional money for a flight. When i went the ship was brand new, it was beautiful, food was delicious and we all had an amazing time. Also great excurcions, i would also pay alot of attention to where the cruises stop and see which goes to places you would like to visit the most. On crown princess they go to Puerto Rico,Turks and caicos, Bermuda and St. Thomas

Is this the same as the Caribbean Princess? I see that Crown Princess doesn't go to the Caribbean from NYC anymore :( Was this an 'older' crowd or fun for our age?
