Curious about the housing market

For any of you out there looking - has it slowed down and do you see the prices still going up?
What is it like out there?

I noticed a small dip in the prices of the houses since this time last year...

even still though its sooo $$$$$$$$$

I agree...the prices have gone a bit lower than last year but are still overpriced.

we've been talking to realtors cause we are looking for a house and they tell us that the prices are so darn high strictly because of the interest rate (and to think, they just cut it AGAIN!!). A 30 year fixed is now under 5%!! I just hope this doesnt drive the prices up anymore. They really didnt offer any insight as to what would happen if the interest rates go up though, I'll have to ask

I don't see the prices going up at this point because of the questions in our economy right now. Even though the interest rates are lower, there is less of a demand for homes right now.

With that in mind, the prices aren't really going to drop too much in the near future either.
