I keep a pre payed cell because its easier for me than a monthly plan and I never really use the phone unless I have to. I've never been a big phone person. Well I keep getting theses phone scams under different numbers for this lousy auto warranty. This of course cost me $$ in mins. Several times I pressed the button to take me the list, but they still keep calling. So I waited on the phone until I got someone and asked nicely to be taken off the list. Which the guy just hangs up on me! Its costing me mins and its not like I can save the number to my phone and just not answer. They keep calling me under different numbers. So I figured I will share with you the numbers I have. Warning to all the girls if you get theses numbers don't answer. 402-982-0466 202-527-6024 266-244-3697 If you try calling theses numbers they won't go through. But I figure I would give you all the heads up!

Re: damn phone scams!!!
This happened to me to, but i just kept hanging up as soon as i heard the voice say 'This is your final notice, your auto warranty blah blah blah'. One day i finally pushed zero and got a live person and I told her to take my name off and she apologized and said ok. I've only received one call since then from another company, but thats it. So annoying!

If you let the call go to VM, does it still use minutes? My DH just got a tracfone for business purposes - not 100% sure how it works though.
If so -- if you leave it OFF unless you need to use it, does that use minutes if they leave a message?
I don't ever answer a number I do not recognize for this reason!

me too. I never answer the phone unless I recognize who's calling. If they're somebody important, then they'll leave a message. As simple as that.
I think it's so stupid that these idiots have our cell numbers now. I used to get those warranty calls on my old phone. I haven't on my new one yet.
I remember getting an e-mail a couple months ago saying that our numbers were going to start being sold to these kinds of businesses. And then it gave a number to call in order to be taken OFF the list. But I didn't trust it. I kind of wondered if it was a trick and calling that number actually DOES put you on the list. lol. But now I'm thinking that if I DO start to get sales calls, it probably wouldn't hurt to call this other one. I'll have to find it. I think I saved the e-mail just in case.

Seems like every one goes through the same thing...
I would place your cell number on the do not call registry list - hopefully they won't call you anymore!

Re: damn phone scams!!!
You need to register your number on the do not call registry...I was getting the same thing on my home # it was driving me crazy..and DH on his cell. I registered our numbers..and no more calls.
My Dh is having issues with this too. But we have unlimited incoming calls. If he doesn't know the number, he doesn't pick up. If they do not leave a message.. he will google it to see what comes up.
