Re: Danielle-ddnsp
lauren, thank you so much. i just got in from the gym and today i am going shopping to stock up on the food tips she gave me!
she was terrific. she basically told me i was eating no nutritional foods, and she gave me a ton of options. she said i should be eating about 1700-1800 cal a day, and if in 2 weeks i havent seen any weight loss, then we will lower it a little.
she said to try out calorie king, as well. im looking into that.
my discouragement as definitely gone down, with the help of everyone around me, and i was able to do both yesterday and today's runs no problem!
i WILL cross the finish line on may 2nd!
thanks for asking, and thanks everyone for caring! i love you girls!!

welllllll, yes and no. i have oxford. and with the plan i have, my insurance technically doesnt cover it, but i pay a reduced rate, which is a contracted rate through my insurance and this nutricionist. it was $60 for my first visit and will be $40 for every subsequent visit. which, from the prices i was getting, is significantly less than other nutricionists. also, she said bc i have high choloestrol that she will try to put it through as medically necessary, and that may work.

Glad it was very informative! So happy you are feeling more upbeat. u will have a great run & feel so accomplished. Best ofluck dani!!!
BTW which marathon are you doing ? The half in NYC??? If so it has some uphills so when you ar etrainingmake sure you prepare for that. Every now & again near our house i go to teh hilly area & do a hard run (some of those suckers ar esteep) lol But it helps me prepare & makes me a better runner in stamina & strength. Just a thought when u are ready for this part! good luck.
