Dealing with In-laws
How do you deal with a relative of DH's that you can't stand but that he is REALLY fond of?
Due to past experiences I have an immense dislike for one of DH's brothers. It just so happens that this is the same brother that DH favors. This caused serious problems for us before our wedding.
When I come into contact with BIL I become very cold and standoff-ish. Not rude, but enough so I think he gets the feeling that he's not really welcome with open arms in my home. I feel bad sometimes, but I cant be fake and I am very bad at pretending to like someone. Also, this is the only way I know how to keep him at a distance.
I admit I would be upset if DH treated my own brother this way, but I can't help it - just the thought of him makes me angry!
