Dear DMV....

It would have been really nice if you told me EVERYTHING I needed to bring in with me to change the name on my title and switch the registration from my father's name to my name when I went in the last time. It's great that you gave me the form, highlighted the areas that I needed to fill out, and told me to bring in my license plates to surrender and the registration in my father's name and my title. But it would have been even better IF YOU TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE A NEW INSURANCE POLICY TAKEN OUT IN MY NAME AS WELL. You know....before I took a morning off from work to do this, which was supposed to be just a quick hour delay, but then turned in to 2 1/2 hours because of my license plates being rusted to the car and the line snaking clear out the door of the office.

Aww Ali...that stinks! I HAAATE when places do that....why is it sooo hard to tell you EXACTLY what you need???!!

oyy, the dmv was the pain the ***. I had to do the same thing to switch the title and insurance and all. I too had to go back bc the first time after waiting in line for 30 minutes I get up there and they inform me I needed a new photo, which I didn't know, and here I was just came from the gym, in a sweatshirt, no makeup, and a ponytail...even the dmv lady suggested I come back so I took that as a bad sign. LOL

You needed to have a new insurance policy already? I didn't have that problem...They didn't even say anything, probably because they assumed I was going to call to change my name there already.
