Does your DH have good taste when it come to decorating?
I will have to say no for mine. His big purchase for the new home was a $6.99 Star Wars poster. He wants to hang it in the dining room

Re: Decorating DH
My BILs got 'us' (aka DH) a bike rack. Which would be fine if we had anywhere to store it. He put the new bike rack in the dining room. It has since been moved to the bedroom. Note: He has not ridden the bike since we got back form the HM - four weeks ago. Can't we just keep it at his parents for the time being?

Re: Decorating DH
It's always a mutual decision when we pick out things for the house. Before we moved in, when we painted, we took a trip to Home Depot and DH picked out the color for the living room, dining area, and hallway (all the same color); so yea I'd say he has good taste. The only thing is he's color blind so sometimes he has trouble picking stuff out and needs my help.

Re: Decorating DH
Yeah he does have good taste but its kindve like 50/50. Sometimes his ideas would be great and then sometimes i wonder 'what is he thinking'...lol

Re: Decorating DH
We had to paint one wall of our guest room 'Eagles green'. I guess that's his room now. There's a framed Eagles poster as well as a picture of dogs playing poker on the wall. I put my foot down when he wanted to hang the Simpsons poster over our bed.

Re: Decorating DH
he has very good taste
he picked out all the lighting in our apt - our chandelier in the dining room, kitchen light, fan in bedroom, etc etc.
And - he always helps me choose decorations before I buy them!

Re: Decorating DH
no-- it'd all be NASCAR and Hunting in my house--- although he is a huge palm tree fan- so it won out in our bedroom

Re: Decorating DH
Luckily DH has the same taste as me, for the most part. So of course I think he has good taste. He even picked out our china, and I LOVE it. It's made decorating our home very easy.

It depends on what it is. But for the most part...he always agrees with my choices anyway

it's ok for a guest bedroom or a rec room, but not a dining room. Not our dining room anyway..please take no offense

Re: Decorating DH
DH has excellent taste - we picked EVERYTHING out together in our house from the paint, down to the furniture, and where we were going to hang things.

Re: Decorating DH
I didn't think so until that story. I love how your DH wanted to put a star wars poster in the dining room. That is the exact reason why DH has the whole basement. He can put as many dogs playing poker and Jessica Beil pictures as he wants down there. As for serious decorating, DH has a very modern style and I am a more conservative contemporary.
DH also thinks that navy blue and black are perfect matches.
