Decorating question.

Decorating question.

Ok so here is my living room - it is VERY blah. The walls are 'Key West Ivory' and I will admit I chose it bc of the name BUT it was supposed to have an ORANGE hue to it. Instead, the room is VERY blah to me - too many neutrals.

Now, my dog is stinky and he cannot sit on my couch so I cover it with a blanket - I know, very Italian of me and I always swore I wouldn't do it but hey, at least it isnt a plastic covering - I should get SOME credit for that.

I was thinking of adding a little color with the blanket - below are my color options.

Thanks for any help, I have NO decorating sense whatsoever.

Tilde,

In our condo, we have basically tan, dark brown, and light blue... similar the aquamarine you posted

Re: Decorating question.

I think either an aqua or green.. then do different color accent pillows.

Thats the easiest way to get color into a room!! They are having a super sale at Kohls if that helps. Let me see what I can find!

I'm all for the tan and blue combo also...seems to be very popular now. My bedroom right now is that color combo!

Re: Decorating question.

green, orchid, or aquamarine would really look neat with the walls and be away from the neutrals.

I like the aquamarine too. it is such a pretty color. To make the orange hue in the paint stand out more you may want to consider painting your mouldings glossy white. The color won't look so blah next to the white.

Loveee these which website are they from?

I love the aqua blue colors lately so I would go with them- in the fall/winter you can do a orangey/red accent color and it could really pop too-happy shopping

Re: Decorating question.

I LOVE the pillows. Thats what we do-alot of thoss pillws in a coordinating scheme. Definetly go for a contrasting color. The others are too close.
