Hi ladies,
A friend of mine is coming to spend the day with me next week, and to save her from the LONG local ride to Smithtown, I was told theres an Xpress that comes into Deer Park. I just dont know where the station is. I would be coming from lets say Commack Rd/Jericho (where Macy's and Target are).

Just take Commack Rd. north to Long Island Ave.(a few miles past the LIE, right before Kohls and PC Richards, you'll see the RR tracks). Make a left and just keep going until you come to the station on your right side. You can't miss it!
Long Island Ave. is SOUTH of the LIE. If you are taking Commack Rd. North and wait to pass the LIE, you will have gone a few miles too far.
From Southern State, take exit 39N (Deer Park Ave.), then bare right onto Commack Road and continue going north. As you get close, you will pass the Kohl`s and Ruby Tuesday (on your right), PC Richard will be on the left. Once over the tracks, it`s an immediate right.
From LIE or Northern State, take Commack Road South. Long Island Avenue is a few miles south of the LIE. You`ll notice on Commack Road it goes from being residential, to very wooded, and then you hit an industrial looking area, with some shops. Long Island Ave. is the last light before crossing over the tracks.
The train station in located right next to the Hartland Industrial Park.
Leave it to me to get someone lost! I did mean South...I DO know the difference...lol. I grew up in Dix Hills, and then lived in Deer Park until I got married. I used to go to Golds Gym, right in Heartland. Geez,I better start taking some ginseng!
