Depositing Gift Checks

This is my first thread on the newlywed board!

Did you have any problems depositing checks you got as gifts for the wedding? Some of them are addressed to one of us, both of us, my new name (which isn't changed yet, obviously), his name only, etc -- there are all kinds of versions the checks are made payable to... how did you handle this? I'm not sure how to go about endorsing them....

The bank made us both sign the ones to Mr&Mrs with my new name. I said I did not change it yet and they said it didn't matter that it was my name and we were married.
