Dessert Recipes

Can anyone share their favorite homemade dessert recipes?

I'm going out this weekend and my job is dessert and I want to bring something besides brownies.

Re: Dessert Recipes

Pour Orange sugar free jello (while still hot) in a long pan (like you would use for your brownies),
strain a can of pineapple rings and place individual rings in pan of Jello on bottom and put into fridge to get cool and solidify!

it is YUMMY

Re: Dessert Recipes

I obviously love making cupcakes, however, I have an AMAZING carrot cake recipe that everyone always asks me for.
I also have a blog that you can look at that has really easy recipes, joythebaker.com/blog.
She just put up an few good looking desserts.

I also had a woman at work make these 'oreo pops' what you do is take oreo cookies, pecans (I think , or some kind of nut) and you grind them up really fine, with butter and some orange juice or orange liquer and freeze them and then dip them in chocolate.....I am telling you, these were so yummy, I can give you the recipe if you want.

I have also made a really easy, yummy , deliciuos fruit tart. The crust is so easy and everyone raved about it at work. I think I may have it saved on my computer if you want it.

Re: Dessert Recipes

i made this pie and used snickers instead of a toffee bar and used a graham cracker crust instead of oreo because i thought it was a lot of chocolate. everyone went nuts for it--and its not too much cooking at all.

2 cups cold milk 2 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
3 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
1 OREO Pie Crust
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
2 milk chocolate English toffee candy bars (1.4 oz. each), chopped, divided

BEAT milk and pudding mixes with whisk 2 min. Microwave 2 chocolate squares on HIGH 1 min. or until melted when stirred. Stir in 1 cup pudding; pour into crust.

ADD half the COOL WHIP and all but 3 Tbsp. candy to remaining pudding. Spoon over layer in crust.

TOP with remaining COOL WHIP and candy. Melt remaining chocolate square; drizzle over pie. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Re: Dessert Recipes

I made this for Thanksgiving..its unbelievably deliciously decadent.....EVERYONE loved it

Upside Down Pumpkin Cake

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
salt to taste
1 3/4 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix with pudding
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a mixing bowl, blend pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, salt, sugar, eggs and milk. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle dry cake mix and nuts over the batter. Pour melted butter over the cake.

Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 60 minutes and let cool. The cake will be 'liquidy' at first, but will solidify as it cools.
