DH and I got the BEST Christmas present last night. . .

. . .a HUGE FLOOD IN OUR APT!

Maintenance started pounding on our door at 1:30am because the people who live below us called them saying their ceiling was leaking. we ran downstairs to answer the door and by the time we got half way down the stairs, we heard this gushing sound and said, 'W T F?!?!'. As soon as I stepped on the carpet of the first floor, I was soaked! It turns out, about half an hour after we went to bed, the intake pipe into our kitchen sink busted, leaving about 2 inches of standing water over the entire 1st floor of our apt! Maintenance was here until 3 am fixing it and then the carpet cleaning people FINALLY arrived around 430am to syphen the water. It's going to be wet until at least Monday and they had to rip up the corners so we could put these huge fans down. Luckily, nothing is ruined, so it's just a huge inconvenience - we were supposed to be hosting a holiday party tonight too

and this had to happen on the coldest night of the year in tucson! we got down into the 20s last night and had to keep the windows and front door open to try and help dry it out obnoxious!!! but, atleast nothing is ruined. it could've been so much worse if the people below us weren't home and didn't notice the leak!

Awwwww Randi that suc%s!!!!!! The good thing is that nothing was ruined and it was caught before more severe damage was done. Sending you some of these sweetie I hHope whoever takes over the party helps take your minds off of the household issues for a couple of hours.
