DH has an

Original post by juju

HI

DH has an interview coming up with the airlines on Monday! I am asking for a selfish request and ask to Please send us some prayers and good luck our way!

As some of you know, I recently got laid off and I am a believer for things happening for a reason. We were suppose to start looking for a house the beginning of this year, but because of my lay off we decided to hold off. Maybe this is God's way of saying to hold off because we may not be living in NY! It so happens that we've been renting month to month since December. So getting out of our lease won't be a problem.

The anticipation is killing me. DH is thrilled to have the opportunity for the interview!

ETA: DH had an interview with one of the Airlines and didn't get the job. He applied for a second airline and he got the Job! We are moving to HOuston! My home State! Yee Haw!

Thanks Again!

DH has to be there on the 14th. I am hoping I could go visit and see some places with him. So we will be moving ASAP. We will be renting for now. I cannot believe how much you can get for your money. And the deposits on apts. is a joke. How does $350 deposit sound? Most Apartments in Texas have a gym and all have swimming pools. Billiards room and theatre room is also included in some apartment buildings.

Congrats to your DH! That's great news!!

I recently left Houston after living there for 6 or 7 years. Let me know if you have any questions about anything!

ETA: Just saw your question about NY style Italian food...ummm, the options are pretty slim. There is a place called Fred's (near the medical center) that I liked and Josephine's (downtown) is good too. Two very popular places are Buca di Beppo and Maggiano's, but I thought they were just okay.

Be prepared for the fact that there is NOTHING like NY style pizza in Houston!
