DH problems

DH problems

Maybe its not a huge prob. but its bugging me. About 3 weeks ago DH brought an online game (the one where you pay monthly to play online with other players) called World of Warcraft. Anyway, its like, once he gets on the entire world disapperas (including me). He stays on for hours on end. Yesterday he was on for 5+ hours (I timed him) and today he goes for for 2hrs when he tells me he was only going to be on a few mins. because he had to do something quick. I confront him about it and he tells me, 'Ok, I wont be long' but sure enough..he loses track of time. The only day DH and I have together are Sat. (well for the last few weeks its been that way) and all he wants to do is play his game...all i want is to spend some time with him...but ever since he got this game..its like I dont really exsist. And what bothers me most is that he tells me hes only going to be on for a little bit...but this little bit turns to 5+ hrs. I dont mind him playing.. but I think I deserve some time too...what do you girls think? What should I do?

Yes, I remember when we were just engaged and no living together..he brought a diff. online game (City of Heros) and we would be onl the phone and it would be complete silence for like an hour...I would eventually say, 'Ok, im going to bed, goodnite' and we would hang up. I knew it was going to be a prob. once he got it...and I just cant stand it...

i'm sorry DH is caught up in his online games! when my DH does something that annoyyyys me (like spends hours DJing) is waiting until he's in a really good mood, bring the problem up, and make a plan. maybe mid week talk about how it cuts into your time, offer to let him pick the amount of time and what part of the day, and then agree to spending quality time. maybe even making plans so that you can set up an alarm to sound when the time is up?

hope things get better sweets! don't back down reclaim saturday as your together day!

Re: DH problems

What you're saying is totally true. My FIL is completely obsessed with that game and will literally play it all day long (from the time he wakes up until they go to sleep). I know it's extremely addictive. Once they start with it, I've heard it's really hard to get them to stop... it's like it takes on a life of its own! He's been obsessed with it for a year, he could barely tear himself away to come to our wedding (no joke)!!!
I think the quicker you can do something about this the better, before it gets even worse. I don't know exactly how you could go about it though. Is he aware how addicted he is & how he behaves when he's playing? If he realizes what it's doing to your relationship, I think it'll be easier for him to recognize that he needs to stop playing it.
Good luck
