DH was just in a car accident!****UPDATE***HE'S OKAY!

he just called me--out of breath and sounding out of it saying over and over again 'i'm okay, i'm okay' but he didn't sound okay---he sounded woozy and out of breath....his patrol car got smashed into!!! my brother is a cop in the neighboring precinct and DH said 'your brother is here, i'm going to the hospital' and hung up--then my brother called and said 'listen i'm with him--just relax--going to the hospital now--call you back'

i'm just freaked out---last time DH was in a car accident -- he called and sounded fine..he didn't sound good.

Thanks for all the well wishes---I told Pete at the hospital that all the gals on the NW board were rooting for him to get better--he laughed and said 'thanks!'

soooo......
how crazy is this story? DH came home yesterday and was telling me how crazy it was that an SUV used by undercover cops from another agency was stolen at a car wash by some crackheads when it was coming out at the end of the wash. we laughed about how crazy that was.

well GUESS what vehicle hit him and his partner?? yup--that same one. not before almost running over 2 detectives! when the stolen car hit my DH's patrol car---air bags deployed and everything. then Pete and his partner, working on PURE adrenaline, jumped out of the car and actually chased the guy along with the other detectives. luckily this guy was picked up by the detectives--and he had a rap sheet as long as the phone book---and crack pipes were in the car. it was at this point that everything kind of hit my DH--and he got woozy---and the pain of the accident kicked in--especially in his chest. that was when he called me all out of breath and stuff.

after loads of paperwork and the ER---he's really feeling the pain now and is exhausted. nothing is worse than getting that phone call that he's hurt. but the good thing is that my brother works in the neighboring precinct and rushed to the scene and went with him to the hospital....that helped me out a LOT...knowing my bro was there.



so i am happy that my guy is home and in one piece.
