DH's 30th birthday party review w/ pics

Ok I have to say I was so nervous about how everything will turn out, and it turned out better than I even hoped. I even got there so early bc I was afraid of BQE to williamsburg traffic and I got to the place in 25 mins so got there an hour early but 5 people got there as soon as I did so good thing I got there so early. I think about 60 ppl came. The party was held in the room upstairs so we had it all to ourselves. It looked even better than I expected. Found so comfy and lots of room for everybody. There were couches throughout, even a stripper pole lol but it was all red velvet couches, black ottomans and leopard too, had a bordello style, even the lighting was red for most of the room. There was even some couches by the window when you went a few steps up, and then up against one wall you climed up this ladder and there was a nook you can hang out in, with pillows and stuff inside. I had such an amazing time Dh was so happy to see everybody who came out for him and he absolutely loved the place. It was like we had a whole lounge/club to ourselves but had more of a home type feeling. The service was also great, the bartender we had was awesome and so nice and the manager was really on top of everything and kept me up to date with everything and constantly made sure everything ran smoothly. There was also an outside garden with heated lamps for those who wanted to go out and smoke. After DH arrived, the 2 dancers showed up maybe 30-45 mins later to perform. I only have pics of 1 dancer though bc th other one asked us if it's ok we don't take pics of her while she dances but she started off with a feather dance which were 4 big feathers that she used to cover herself and dancing with that and then after uncovered and had underwear and tassels on. DH loved the dancers of course lol. Also the girls did a tassel lesson, so 5 of us girls bought the tassels and then did a lesson with one of them. Since most of us didnt want to do this in front of everybody we went to the bathroom to do this lol it was so funny and interesting. Everybody kept telling me how much they liked the place, DH was extremely happy so that made me happy. He loved the GQ mock magazine, everyone got a kick out of it. Hmmm don't know what else to say about it but i definitely recommend this place if youre looking to throw a party, i had the best time and the space is great, loved the look and manager was great to work with. The night was definitely interesting, one of dh's favorite parts was when at the end of the night there was a crate with a garbage bag inside, i thought it was one of the black ottomans so i went to sit down and fell right in lol.

Heather I read your thread and OMG that is so funny, I had no idea you were related to Heather. We're you at her son's christening? I wonder if you were there, it was a while ago but just wondering.

Thank you, I definitely had a fabulous time, just hope everyone else did lol. Still recovering bc next day dh baptised his friends daughter so we basically woke up and got ready as quick as possible and ran out the door lol and we're out all day yesterday.

So glad you guys had fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place looks awesome what a cool idea

It's funny but my cousin said to me 'OMG lets throw another party here' she kept saying how much she loved the place. I was upset i didnt do the hotel thing at first but in the end i think this worked out even better. Had a bartender to make all our drinks, guests enjoyed free drinks all night since BIL and I paid for the bar. Had a dj to play music so didnt have to worry about music and the space was perfect in size and layout was great.

oh yeah he did lol, it was funny bc my friend and I heard DH telling ppl 'thats my gift from my wife' all excited. I think he realized a little bit before they performed that something was up bc he saw me and some others moving tables around and then he saw me walking with this 1 girl he didnt know who had her hair and make up real done up(she was showing me where she was going to perform and asked if we can move the tables) i saw his face like HUH who's that, whats going on lol

DId anyone ask about rhe prego misconcepiton???

Yes, it was at Madame X. Thanks, it got SOOO light though. This is what i hate about red, bc in just 3 weeks it completely fades away. My hair was so dark and that looks like a strawberry blonde or just light brown so i need to do it again soon.

well it was supposed to be a surprise but i know dh had an idea.

Well they weren't strippers, they were burlesque dancers and tassels and the whole bustier type thing with undies is the furthest she went. And no like booty shaking on the floor or anything like that. We were all there for that, when the dancer put her leg on dh in the pic and shes taking off her stocking, i took the pic and i was sitting next to dh. Its funny bc dh's parents were there in the beginning, they said they'll just stop by for a bit but they ended up being there for the first 2 performances the girls did and i was like OMG they are still here, i told BIL to let his parents know. His mom i was worried about but she said to me the next day that they were fine and the dances they did were tasteful and nothing like crazy ya know.

oh wow that is so funny, i dont remember if i was engaged yet, it was either right before i got engaged or right after bc i remember it was summer. I probably wasnt on LIW then at least i dont think Heather and Rob are great

Thank you to the rest of the ladies, and if anybody is looking to throw a party and need info just feel free to ask me. This was PERFECT!!!! I had so many people coming up to me and asking me how i found out about the place and others saying they wanna go back there just to have drinks. And like my cuz, i wanna throw another party there lol
