Ack! We bought it from Elsa, and it was part brushed gold and part shiny gold (probably more sophisticated way for putting it out there but you all get the point!! ) - over time the bruch gold parts have worn away and now even the shiny gold is looking a tad crappy. he is hands on at work so he is hard onhis hands, but it annoys me - we paid good money and more than that, the whole symbolic part if it may never last for 100 more years!!!!! We are thinking of renewing out vows one day but still, we want our original rings! boo.....

Take it back to them and see if there is anything they can do to fix it. There has to be something they can do to take away the worn out look.

Dh has a platinum band and his started getting banged up right away. Can't the jeweler polish them on that special thingy that makes it look new again?

Our wedding bands are shiny white gold. They are always getting scratched up. Every year or 6 months, we bring them to the jeweler and they polish them. Sometimes, we get them rhodium dipped...the shine is amazing!!
