I am hopping over from the BHB board. I am seriously considering a diamond and saphire wedding bad. Does anyone who is going tonight have one? edited to say - so I could see it

Dubliner - I'm not going tonight but I do have a sapphire/diamond wedding band. It's two sapphires on either side of a flat diamond. If I get a chance I will scan a pic and post for you. I love it...especially since diamond is my birthstone and sapphire is my DH's!

I have a ring that is baguettes and sapphire. It is an original Tiffany platinum setting and was my Mom's original engagement ring. She had a sapphire placed in the setting for me (sapphire is my birthstone). She gave it to me the week before my wedding.
I can wear it tonight if you want to see it.

Lee - the sentiment behind your ring is great - you're lucky. I just like it . I would love to see a scan of it. I am going shopping on Monday (no work) I have seen a ring style I like, but its all diamonds, and I wanted to get an idea of how the saphires would look before i order it

Both my ering and my wedding band are diamonds and saphires. DH's wedding band is too. I love it. A little trick the jewler did when we were trying to decide on our bands is she colored over the diamonds we wanted to replace with saphires with a blue sharpie. It comes right off in the cleaning solution but it gives you an idea of what it will look like.
I'll try to post of picture of our wedding bands but I think the quality is really bad.
I wanted to get sapphires...but our jeweler recommended not to (this is a family friend...so I trust that he wasn't just trying to hike up the price)
this was the reason...he said that if you don't have any sapphires in your e-ring (I do not) then it can make the ering diamond look dirty...when I put a diamond and sapphire ring on...it did look a little dirty...
