Did any of you have a chocolate fountain at your wedding or have been to a wedding where there is one?

Did any of you have a chocolate fountain at your wedding or have been to a wedding where there is one?

I looked at a rental place and they provide people to operate the fountain and the food.They say its a 3 hr. rental. If I'm not having a vienesse hours, why would you keep the chocolate station out for 3 hours? Wouldn't it just be for desert time?

I didn' t have one, but I would think to put it out with dessert.

The 3 hour rental, is prbably tht total time. Prep & so on.

I did for the last hour of the night. I paid $3 or 4/per person for it.

Thanks Ladies! Betsy, was that for every guest at the wedding, or just the ones who used the fountain. Was that arranged by your RH?

I had one. They opened it up right after the father/daughter, son/mother dances and it ran until the end of the reception (I guess around an hour and a half)

I paid around 750 I think for the chocolate fountain at the wedding. I found places that charged less who would come in as an outside vendor, but my RH wouldn't allow it since they offered the service.

I thought it was really worth it. Good Luck!

Yes we had one, did you ask the place you are having it at if they have one? I do think that is a bit long usually it comes out for 45 minutes to an hour at most, but hey, you can work it into the reception in a cool way if they will give it to you for longer, just think about it and Im sure you will come up with something. We loved our fountain and as I am typing this LI Weddings has a vendor listed on here as www.hamptonschocolatefountians.com, call them too and see what they say Im sure they all work a bit different. Nobody had to work ours it was all set up perfect with tons of yummy things to dip and the fountain flowing, it was so good and a great hit...good luck

i didn't have one. but we'll be going to a wedding in a few weeks where they'll be one

we had one and everyone still talks about it lol we didnt have to pay extra for ours it was encluded. i ate like a pig when that chocolate fountain came out! ugh i wish i had one right now

I didn't have one, but I went to some where they had them, but only when they brought out the cake and sweets. Most people seem to think they are great...it's a nice touch.
