did any of you have trouble adjusting to work after HM??
I am having a really hard time getting back into the swing of things. We had such a joyous day and a wonderful HM. Now i am back at work and totally staring into space. Just cannot get back to my efficient self, and it has already been a week! I just want to look at pictures all day and play on LIW! But I guess have the blues a little bit too. Did anybody else experience this??

Ugh...it's so hard to go back! Unfortunately, when I came back, it felt like I never left--even though I was gone for a month! You'll probably be back in the swing of things by Friday!

ME ME!! Hence my lengthy dish debate today.... I don't feel like doing anything! Plus today is my B-day so I really feel like doing nothing! But the phone just keeps ringing with more work

Oh my goodness that was the hardest part. I hated coming back to work.
We didn't live together before the wedding and I swear I had the most difficult getting up in the morning and leaving my husband to go to work ( I have to be at work 8 and he 10) I think I was late the entire first week back.

thanks ladies. i am sorry you had trouble too, but it makes me feel better knowing that i am not alone. gosh, leaving in the morning is the worst part isn't it!!!!

Wedding or no, I always have trouble going back to work after a vacation...scratch that, I have trouble going to work after a nice weekend!!
I think for most of us, work ****s so its hard not to wish you were elsewhere :D

Going on 8 months here and I cant stand to be at work anymore. Some days are better then others, but basically I'd rather be anywhere else

I loved the way I planned out my honeymoon. I took off three weeks and came back Thanksgiving week, so I only had to work 2 1/2 days. Then most of my office took off in December for the holidays...so I didn't really do any work. I would come in late, leave early, etc. After the new year, is when I put my but back into gear.

After I came back from my HM, it took almost 3 months to get really back into work. Especially since I took 3 weeks off for the wedding and HM.

Post-Wedding Depression
Definitely! It was the most happiest day of my life, happy and relaxing HM and it was very hard to get back to work. I was so depressed after returning from our HM. It took me about 5 months to re-gain my efficient self from suffering Post-Wedding Depression. For this 5 months I just stare into space and constantly look at our wedding pictures over and over mentality re-living that perfect day again. I've devoted all my time, finances, energy and effort into our wedding plans for 18 months (1 1/2 years) and was very, very sad that it was all over.
I'm feeling better now and enjoying our married life without all the hectic wedding plans. However, there's the future to look forward to such as married life and spending your whole life together complete with your dear husband, personal goals, hobbies, decorating your home together, etc.

I got married in November and never adjusted back from 'wedding' life That first day back $ucked and honestly, I am just not as into my career as I was before I got married. It is just a simple fact.

OMG girls, this is me. i just stare into space and look at wedding pictures and think about how awesome it was. i am no longer the efficient career driven machine i once was. plus, i am about to start getting into trouble for missing deadlines! ack! ohwell, but it was great wasn't it!??
i think we all need better jobs, that's it!! thanks for making me feel normal ladies!

4 days after I came back from the honeymoon I was laid off. I did not have time to get used to work again!

I was so out of work the month before my wedding. I figured once it was all over I can get back to normal (it really bothered me because I am usually very good at separating work from home and am very motivated at work). We 6 months have gone by and my motivation is starting to come back but still not to the level it use to be.
I have come to realize that I need a new job (it wasn't just the wedding distraction) but the job market (esp. for IT and the area I am skilled at) isn't the best so I am trying to force myself to be motivated while I have no other option! It's tough!

unfortunately, i can totally relate Niecey. i feel kind of stuck too though, especially after spending so much on the wedding. it will be a little while before i am allowed to leave my job. and when that time comes, i have no idea where i am going to go!? oh well, i am just going to think positive thoughts and hopefully something good that i enjoy will come my way. good luck to you too! things will pick up!!
