I don't think a lot of people do that, but it is a nice gesture. I only gave gifts at our rehearsal dinner. My parents got the most expensive gift, since they paid for my shower and part of the wedding. Maybe you can pay for her to get her nails done with you the day before the wedding. Or pay for her hair/make up if she's getting that done.

I didn't do that, and now I kind of wish I did...

didn't do that, don't think its custom, don't think its expected, but if you want to, it would be a nice gesture.

I threw a shower for a close friend last year and she barely acknowledged all the hard work and money that went into it and I was really disappointed with her. I had it at my house and paid for tent, party rentals, catering, dj, servers and all the beautiful decor that I bought to make the place look glamorous. I spent like $3000 on my own. I barely got a thank you.. she was too busy loading up her loot!!

I think it's really thoughful to properly thank them.. and it doesn't have to be an expensive gift.. i would have been happy with a manicure/pedicure or to be taken to lunch or brunch the next day. I would have been really happy with a massage.

Same here...I didn't even think of it. But I was generous with my BMs gifts...I paid for their hair the day of, plus gave them nice giftcards and personalized frames...I also had a BP luncheon for them during my planning stages. Not that this is a gift lol but their dresses cost under $100 too

I agree, it's the gesture of appreciation that counts

i thought about buying something for my mom. i wound up just getting her a really nice card, that was made to thank someone for a bridal shower (i couldn't believe they had cards like that!!) and wrote a nice message. for the wedding i got her a gift from us and then a little extra on the side that i didn't tell DH about!

For my bridal shower, I didnt buy them anything, I took them out to a nice mexican restaurant we had dinner and pitchers of margaritas haha. It was my way of just thanking them again...it was fun and memorable. I know I will be totally be doing the same for all the girls soon. 1 is engaged and 2 of them will be engaged in the next year or so. I didnt get them thank you gifts though. They will all have amazing showers.

I think its a nice thing you are doing! For my baby shower....my Sister in law, sister, mom and Mother in law planned it, and his aunts made us a gorgeous bassinet and wishing well, My MIL friend made the favors....So many people were involved...It would be nice If I can come up with a cute idea to give them an extra special thank you.

I sent my mom's friend who threw my shower a thank you gift of smiley face cookies from Popcorn Factory.com

This!

I send this all the time as a thank you gift when I need to. They have other great baskets for $19.99 as well. The 'Peace, Love, Popcorn' one is really cute. Good luck!
