Yes my brothers girlfriend caused such a problem, not directly to us, but to my poor brother in law, he didnt even want to here the word wedding anymore which really is sad, as it was so important for me to have him as part of our big day, he was married to my sister and she passed away about 13 years ago, we all remained very close to him, then he met the sweetest girl and got married to her a few years later, about 7 years ago, whom I became close with, she was also in the BP but as for my brothers girlfriend, she was just complaining to my Brother in law over and over and over every day about her not being in our wedding, they work together. Well hello, it would of been nice when I got engaged if she showed up at the family dinner with my brother when they all brought us out to congratulate me and my FH on our engagement, PS, she was getting her hair done to go out to dinner with friends on Friday night, no excuse.....thats BS, and at my shower she refused to go with my brother, gave my poor brother such a hard time, they showed up late, she was rude and nasty to many guest and my brother just hung out with all his friends and left her to be miserable. What the heck, does she think she deserves to be our bridal party. She never even congratulated us when we got married either. Poor me, now my brother is getting married to her and she is going to be my Sister In Law....

I totally agree with that statement, isnt it sad, you find out who your real friends are when someone passes away and when you get married, strange sad but true......

SO true!

Really I didnt get any grief from anyone to my face.
My MOH called me 4 days before my wedding to tell me she may not make it she had jury duty the day of the wedding at that point i said, oh well well find someone to wear your dress and this hurt her feelings.

BUT all her moaning, whining, crying & Bitchin about going to fittings, never meeting me when she was supposed to was fun right

No, no one wanted to be in my bridal party! I had to talk my sister into being my MOH. Seriously--I'm 40 years old, my friends are in their thirties, they were all like, 'you're not going to make me wear a bridesmaid's dress, right?' Which I wasn't, I wouldn't want to do it either. So I made my nieces into bridesmaids. But I wanted my sister to stand up for me, and sign the marriage license, etc., and once I told her it was very important to me, she said 'of course.' And she picked out her own dress. Which was very expensive, actually, but it was her choice!

I was lucky enought to skip everyones fittings, I learned a while ago not to get involved. So I worked so hard to pick the dress I loved, that would also compliment all the girls figures, and then told them where to go to get fitted and order there dresses, the all did it when they found free time, this way I wouldnt pull my hair out, It worked out great except my sister in law who went, said the bridal shop peoople were real rude to her and her kids and that they were laughing at her daughter because she was so pettitte, once the dresses came in she would bring them right home and get them altered on her own, that was fine with me, but I didnt need to here this on my vacation in Florida, where she called me up and had me in tears, what the heck is wrong with her.....Its not a problem, take the dress once its in and go get it altered by whom ever you want, Im easy, but dont make me nuts......

My mom gave me poopoo about not having my SIL in my wedding party. I was in theirs but my husband wasn't (and we were engaged only 2 months after them). I stuck to my guns, but I got her a corsage. My mom insisted on that!

My DH family was mad that I didn't have his sister in the bridal party..... we are not very close so it would have been awkward. I am glad I stuck to my guns because she never spoke to me once at the wedding. Gotta love in laws!

yes a friend of mine gave me grief on the phone when i told her i was getting married; she and I used to be a lot closer but now we speak like on and off with vast amounts of time passing in between, and she asked me who was im my bridal party, then said 'well i think i should be one of the bridesmaids'. What do you say to that??

I'm explained that I was keeping it to 2 girls and 2 guys and that my 2 girls i've known the longest out of anyone. she wasn't satisfied; came to my wedding and stayed for about 40 min.

oh well i say

yes... my SIL was bitching that her husband wasn't in the bridal party. uuughhh.... and so of course since DH always gives in to his sister, DH's BIL was in the bridal party... at the end of the day, it didnt' bother me, but she always has to stick her nose in everything. and Don't get me wrong, we really like the guy... but come on--- let us choose our bridal party. she also tried to get us to have DH's SIL (his brother's wife) in it too... I was like NO WAY! i am having my girls... my sisters and 2 friends... just because DH's sister had a parade of 10 girls and 2 jr. BMs in her wedding, i was not doing the same....
