We spent time in the Amalfi region for our honeymoon. There's a lot of stuff to do there--if you're looking for a more tropical environment, beaches, etc.-it's great! But if you're looking for more stuff on an art history scale, museums-I would recommend heading north. Please feel free to FM if you want more info, pictures!!

We spent 13 days at Le Sirenuse in Positano a few years ago. It wasn’t our honeymoon but may as well have been. There has never been a place in my life that I wished (and still wish) that we never came home from. Positano is an extremely quaint little town, very quiet, not tons of shopping, etc. But just the most beautifully perfect place in the world. We spent some time in Sorrento – also lovely but much more of a city –lots of shopping, etc. I didn’t like it nearly as much. There are a bunch of great towns up and down the coast. I think it’s a lovely place for honeymooners. But don’t expect palm trees, coconut drinks, hair braiding, and every day blue skies!!! Head to the Caribbean for that – (and Aruba was great by the way which is where we went for our Honeymoon) -

I went to the Amalfi coast a few years ago with some of my girlfriends and I swore I'd be back with my love one day...hence where we;re going for our honeymoon. It is such a beautful place - we are staying in Ravello, a little bit removed from Positano but everything is very close and Capri is right there as well. Let me know if you have any questions, I researched a ton for the honeymoon and think we have a great itinerary if I do say so myself!

I found some of my pictures. Some of the attractions in that area are Pompeii, Capri, Blue Grotto (on Capri), the Emerald Grotto (just south of Positano) and Paestum-which is about an hour south of Amalfi.
