I had one at Lands End...which was pretty much for the whole day...since our ceremony was there....she was THE best (I mean she followed me around...without being around...fixed my dress...hair...got my lipstick...fixed it so I had an early ceremony (guests were there for hospitality) and got me an 1 1/2 cocktail hour!!!...and I was only without her for 2 hours in the morning getting my hair done!!

Re: Did anyone have a bridal attendant for the whole day?

She was about 12 (seriously, like 16) and she just stood there like an idiot when I got there, she never introduced herslf or even said hello for that matter. We asked her to get us some drinks, she didn't come back for 1/2 hour. She wouldn't put food in the bridal suite and when I needed safety pins for my bustle, she didn't even bother to ask if we needed anything, so my BM went to the ladies room to get some of the pins I had in the bathroom basket. The she knew we thought she was useless, so she proceeded to just stand in the tiny room with all 12 of us and glare at me and my mother. It was so uncomfortable that my mother asked the maitre d to get her out of the room, so he did, and then they couldnt find any one else to do the job, so I just had NO help. Great solution from the collective brains at Larkfield. So, I never even ate a morsel of food at my cocktail hour and I had to wait on line with the other guests to get a drink. Nice, right?
This was all after, the Banquet Manager told my mother and I that we were going to have this fabulous bridal attendant, blah, blah, blah. Well, if she was the one they had planned on long ago, they must be very hard up. And, I'm sure they just told me she was fired - she probably really wasn't. Sorry for the vent!

I did..she was there for the whole thing (from the hall) - I think...she was helpful sewing the buttons back onto my bustle when they popped off during the night (from people stepping on my dress! happened 3 times - urgh!) But I don't remember what else I needed her for - I know in the beginning she did stuff like organize the bouquets and the bridal party. My maitre d took care of most of our other needs.

Mich- CHCC didn't have one all day? I could have sworn my brother had one all day.

I had one at Flowerfield and she was WONDERFUL! She was there for everything. Anything having to do with fixing my hair, getting me food, drink, fixing my dress to helping me get my dress together so I could go to the bathroom. Always there for anything.

I had a coordinator for the whole day (from my house until the very last minute of the reception) and it was great!

D- the Crest Hollow did provide one, and she was ok.
I was more thinking if anyone had a bridal attendant/ planner/ consultant with them like sonicstef-
I guess if you're getting ready at the hall- you'd have her the whole day.... for those getting married off grounds??? I soooo could've used one getting ready and at the church etc...

just thought I'd take a poll to see.

Karen! was that at the hall???

& Cutielips- sorry!!! My bridal attendant got us food- but not a lot. she was lickidy split w/ the drinks- however, I wish she had helped me clean up my dress from the dirt on the bottom just a bit. She was ok. I'm thinking had I hired someone from morning till night- it would've been worth it- hind sight is 20/20 though, right?

I had one provided by the catering hall. She was wonderful-- definitely made the day go smoothly (is that even a word?)

Yep! I had my own personal bridal attendant during our entire time we were at our reception site. She was my personal slave for a day. She was great as I was served, waited on and pampered with my requests and needs without the added worry, worry during our entire engagement and wedding planning period. Our reception site offered a bridal attendant AND a maitre d'. LOVE it!

No - to be honest, I wouldn't have wanted one even if my hall provided someone.

Anything I needed I either got myself or my BP helped me out with - I wouldn't have wanted someone following me around all day
