Check your contract. If you get all proofs and negatives, and it's specified in the contract, then I believe that is enough to prove that you have the rights to the photos.

You could also have your photographer write you a note on letterhead if that doesn't work.

Stupid Walmart.

My friends and I call it Voldemart (that's a Harry Potter reference). And yes, the company IS that evil.

I have heard of this - the pictures are copyrighted and that is why they won't do it. It definately sucks!

Re: Did anyone scan professional pictures and get copies done?

I have made copies of photos using costco.com and also in person at Walgreens.

However...my father brought a picture of my niece/nephew that was taken at Babies R Us to Wallmart for a copy...and they did the same thing...they wouldn't give him the copy that he made

Re: Did anyone scan professional pictures and get copies done?

Why not buy a color photo printer and print them yourselves? We have an Epson that was only $150 and now we can print all of our pictures at professional quality.

Re: Did anyone scan professional pictures and get copies done?

Is it evil to mention we bought a cool color photo printer (HP) lately and just NOW realized we can make our own copies.

The proofs came out GREAT from our scanner (also new)

All we'd have to do is by the glossy paper.

*shrug*

I agree, pull off the 'I know what I'm doing' act at a kodak booth.

heh

Re: Did anyone scan professional pictures and get copies done?

I scanned my proofs at home and uploaded them to Ofoto.com -- no problems, and the prints looked great!

I know this is evil, but who says you can forge a 'copyright' letter? Put the phone number of your best friend...

Jeez, Walmart should get a grip! I could see if it had 'copyrighted material' emblazoned across the photo, but this is silly...
